a bit of my story
My journey into the healing arts has been forged and fortified by my journey into the unknown.
My practice is deeply influenced by my own experiences with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and the pursuit of freedom. After graduating high school during the COVID-19 pandemic, I chose a path less traveled—living in my car at 18, exploring the country with my dog Dezmond, and unraveling the layers of conditioning placed upon me by society, parents, self, and ancestors; all the while discovering who I wanted to be... and all along, it was myself, allllll the parts of me, light and dark, happy and sad, hard and soft :)
For nearly four years, I embraced the independence of vanlife, traveling across the U.S. and immersing myself in the raw, untamed beauty of nature. Life on the road demanded resilience, adaptability, and an unshakable trust in the unknown. From building out my van with my dad to finding community in unexpected places, each chapter of my journey brought me closer to the realization that we truly truly do create our own reality. Through action and non-action we can tune into the rhythm of the cosmos and walk the path with least resistance.
Through adventure and self-discovery, I learned to balance intuition, surrender, and self-empowerment. Along the way, I found healing in movement and sound—as a writer, musician, dancer, and visual artist, self-expression became my medicine. But still there were times I found myself feeling afraid, anxious, and unworthy. It was only through the conjuring and integration of my inner child, shadow selves, and ego that I've been able to expand past my perceived limits. I believe in really feeling into our fears, doing the hard thing, and facing ourselves with honesty and courage.
Moab, Utah is probably my favorite place. I've been to 43/50 states and 30-something National Parks, yet Moab remains the place that enchants me the most. The culmination of community, fearlessness, desert essence, untouched natural beauty, and balance is unlike anywhere I've ever had the pleasure of being apart of. I worked as a whitewater rafting guide there last spring, and though I'd fallen in love with the landscape many times before on previous visits, this time I was apart of it. Last time I was in Moab I jumped out of a plane (skydiving), met my mentor, Tara, officially dropped out of college, bailed on the rafting job I had lined up in California, and got fired from the current job I had that I honestly really didn't want to do anyways.... so I stuck around for a bit. I know, it sounds crazy, but if I hadn't let go then I wouldn't be here, now. I usually didn't stay anywhere longer than a week, but this place was different. There was something magnetic about it, like I was supposed to be there. This was my life; flowing with the river, working with the current, following the pulls. And wow, there is just so much magic to be found in all of it. I ended up leaving Moab last summer to go play saxophone on tour in the PNW with a spiritual-psychedelic jam band from SW Colorado.
And just as the wind blows, off I'd go.
And now, after years of transformation on the road, I have returned to Michigan to lay a solid foundation for my next chapter—Addi Love Healing Arts Hub. This endeavor has required deep healing, courage, and commitment to my path. I have devoted myself to this work, spending my days studying anatomy, the science of sound, nervous system healing, shadow work, setting boundaries, physiology, and more. I am also assisting retreats, learning aerial dance, and expanding my understanding of what it means to be both a healer and a student of life.
This journey is still unfolding, and already, it feels immensely rewarding. This is just the beginning, and I am honored to share it with you.

Work Experience

My journey has been shaped by years of nomadic living, where I learned to harness a diverse range of skills to fuel my freedom. What began as seasonal work to fund my travels eventually evolved into a creative path where I could blend my passions with practical needs. Photography, web design, and social media management became my tools for survival—and creativity. Through this journey, I discovered that I could tap into my unique talents to support myself, all while staying aligned with my desire for independence and adventure.
In the beginning, I took on temporary jobs—waitressing, assisting in event vending, and hunting down opportunities on Craigslist—to fund my travels. Slowly, these experiences expanded my professional skillset and sparked my creative drive.
Now, I’m proud to say that I’ve built a career not out of necessity, but because it fills me with purpose. Each skill I’ve cultivated has led me to a path that’s rooted in joy, fulfillment, and the constant pursuit of growth. I'm creating a life based on my passions, and I can’t wait to share that energy with others.

MY JOURNEY
2025
michigan
Van life led me to a deeper connection with self and gave me incredible insights on who I am and what I want to do. In September of 2024 I decided I needed to come home and create a stable foundation for myself to build from. It's hard to create anything sustainable when you're constantly on the move. The fleeting free lifestyle I was accustomed to no longer served me, and I knew the direction I was heading, so I came back to Michigan to do school and launch a business, and now here we are :)
2023-2024
out west
As a full time van-lifer, I spent my time exploring the desert, mountains, and west coast. My days were filled with hiking to alpine lakes, doing art in the desert, dancing in fields, and soaking up the solitude of secluded campsites. My van was set up to be completely off grid, so I would spend anywhere from a few days to a few weeks at a time at the same spot. The lush forests and drab desert kept me company until I found a community of nomads just like me.
2022-2023
colorado
After the summer of my first year in college I went to Colorado and worked as a whitewater rafting guide. This experience expanded my perspective on what was possible for me career wise, and taught me that I can truly do whatever I put my mind to. After my first summer in Colorado went back to Marquette for school, and after a semester, I had some complications with my living situation and decided to pursue van life full time.
2021-2022
marquette
After a summer of traveling, and with a whole new perspective on what I wanted to study, I enrolled at Northern Michigan University for Outdoor Recreation Leadership & Management with a minor in philosophy. Here I reconnected to a sense of community through the music scene, and deepened my spiritual connection with nature, especially water.
2020-2021
east coast
I graduated high school during Covid-19, and instead of doing college online at Michigan State University where I was enrolled for the fall, I ended up living in my car and traveling the east coast. It was supposed to be a semester delay which turned into a gap year, and during this time I bought a van and converted it to live and travel in seasonally.
2002-2020
Rochester, mi
I grew up in the suburbia of Metro Detroit, heavily involved in marching band in high school, and naturally found myself in leadership roles like drum major and linkcrew leader. I graduated with above a 4.0 GPA because of all the AP classes I did... very much an overachiever and perfectionist. And that was all I knew. I was very dedicated to academics, and planned on attending Michigan State University for business, but we know thats not what was meant to happen...
